Promise Grants also support cancer research.

Request for Proposals

Thank you for your interest in applying for a Carolina For The Kids Grant. Established in 2002, the UNC Children’s Carolina For The Kids Grant Program is designed to enhance the lives of our patients and families while in our care. The program works to advance programs, services and other hospital-based initiatives that directly impact care and specific patient-related needs.

Each spring, applications are accepted from faculty and staff seeking to fund life-enriching programs that are vital to C.A.R.E. An independent committee reviews the applications and awards Carolina For The Kids Grants, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to the areas of greatest need.

This program is made possible by the generosity of donors who recognize the value of unrestricted gifts. Since its inception, more than $1 million in Carolina For The Kids Grants have been awarded to assist with things like room renovations and upgrades, books, gaming systems, literacy programs, educational materials for patients, support programs and much more.

The grant application and guidelines for submission are available now and should be useful to you as you complete your application.

Again, thank you for your interest. We look forward to receiving your application and supporting documentation.

Fill out the application.

Promise Grant application deadline is Monday, June 6th, 2016, at 5 p.m.
