Ronald McDonald Family Room

Located on the seventh floor, just down from the Play Atrium and the Hospital School, the Ronald McDonald Family Room is a space for solace and reflection for families who may need to get away while still being physically present in the hospital.

The comfortable, 700-square-foot room is staffed by Ronald McDonald House volunteers and staff.

  • Wireless access
  • Television
  • Books and magazines
  • A comfortable, home-like seating area.
  • View overlooking the newly completed Lookout Terrace

Hours of operation:

Monday- Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
*Depending on volunteer availability

Ronald McDonald Hospitality Kiosk 

Family Room at Ronald McDonald House

Families of babies in the Newborn Critical Care Center (NCCC) are welcome to choose from snacks, easy-to-heat meals, beverages and activities at the Ronald McDonald Hospitality Kiosk, free of charge.

The kiosk is near the entrance of the NCCC on the sixth floor of N.C. Women’s Hospital just outside the elevators. Hours vary.
